ROAR Mission Statement:
To Glorify God and to see lives transformed by Christ through Sports

ROAR Vision Statement:
To reach, make, and train people of York County to become disciples by building relationships and sharing the gospel through sports and camp.

A League of Encouragement since 1998!
The ministry of ROAR began with soccer in the fall of 1998, with 150 children participating. Since that time, ROAR has grown, adding several more sports and summer camps, and currently reaches out to over 3000 families in the York County area every year! We offer fall and spring youth soccer, fall and spring youth baseball, youth and adult basketball, girls volleyball, and summer camps. We believe that integrating Sports, Life, and Biblical Truth is the best way to teach our youth.

We also believe that parents have an incredible opportunity to serve their community as well by coaching. We view our coaches to be on a different level than any other. We want coaches to understand that sports is a vehicle to: Get kids to understand what it means to be made in the image of God, show them Christ’s love, have FUN and to be a positive role model. If you want more information on what it means to be a coach, please call the ROAR office or join us for one of our “More Than a Coach” Trainings.

In 2012 Westminster Presbyterian Church partnered with First Baptist Church of Rock Hill to sponsor the ROAR Ministry.  With this partnership, ROAR is able to offer increased facilities and greater ministry impact in the surrounding community.
