2009/2010 Basketball

Registration opens: September 28, 2009 @ 8:00

Practices begin: The week of November 30, 2009 

Games begin: January 8, 2010 (middle / high school division)

January 9, 2010 (all other divisions including panthers)

ROAR is open to all children, ages 4K - 12th grade.  You must at least be in 4K, eligible to start Kindergarten in the Fall 2009, in order to play.

Divisions

New Division: 4K Cubs - this division is for 4K children only and will be conducted more like a basketball academy. Players will practice and play games on Monday nights from 5:30 - 6:30. There are no Saturday games for this age group. Cost is $50.00 (includes jersey & trophy) This academy will be run by Brian Jones & Kelvin Wylie. Parents are encouraged to volunteer to help.

Tigers Division: K5 - 1st grade ~ This division is co-ed. Children will play 4v4 cross court with 8' goals. Games will be played on Saturday mornings

Lions Division: 2nd - 3rd grade ~ This division is co-ed. Children will play 4v4 cross court with 9' goals. Games will be played on Saturday mornings or early afternoons.

Panthers Division: 4th - 5th grade ~ This division is co-ed. Teams will play 5v5, full court, 10' goals. Games on Saturday afternoons.

Most games are played at the WPC gym (1300 India Hook Rd -church location)

Cost for Tigers, Lions & Panthers divisions is $60.00 

The all new UBL (United Basketball League)

We are teaming with Catawba and First Baptist Churches to give middle and high schoolers the opportunity to play basketball in a competitive environment. You do not have to be a member of any of these churches only a basketball player. These basketball leagues will give your child a great opportunity to play ball with their friends. Games will be on Friday nights at WPC, Catawba, Calvary or First Baptist Church. **If your child makes a middle school or high school team, they will not be eligible to play in the UBL. If your child is registered and then makes the school team, a $45.00 will issued back to you.** 

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS & MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS (6th-8th grade)

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS & HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS (9th - 12th grade)

Cost is $50.00

Please read the following information before you register:

Refund policy for Cheerleading and Basketball -- NO REFUNDS will be given after the kick-off .  If you decide to withdraw your child from the league anytime before the kick-off, a 50%administrative fee will be charged.
