Summer Camp Details

WELCOME parents to ROAR Sport Camps! We are very excited to have you visiting with us. We want to supply you with the most information we can. Below are all the details about our Half and Full Day Camps. Please make sure to read all the information because it is very important.  As important as it is for your kids to have fun, we also want them to feel safe. TUITION INCLUDES:
One T-shirt per camper for the summer, lunch on Fridays, and a group photo each week.

CLOTHING: Campers should come ready to play hard, have fun, and get dirty! No sandals or heelys, please. Because your child will be outside for the majority of the day, we advise you to cover them with sunscreen before drop off and to pack an extra bottle.  Make sure that your camper’s name is on everything he or she brings to camp. (For Full Day Camp, each day they will need a bathing suit (one piece for girls), sandals, a towel and sunscreen.)

LUNCH: Campers bring lunch packed in an insulated lunch box with an ice pack Monday through Thursday. (Lunch plans will also be offered--see below) Friday is pizza day! Tuition includes 2 slices and a drink. Campers must have a refillable water bottle every day.

Lunch Plans- ($20 per week or $6 per day)

Monday- McAlisters (Ham/Turkey Sandwich)
Tuesday-  Chick-Fil-A (Nuggets)
Wednesday - TBD

Thursday - Chick-Fil-A (Sandwich)
Friday - Pizza Day (Included with Registration Fee)
(All meals will come with sides and a drink)

EXTENDED HOURS: Regular camp hours are 8:15am-5:00 pm for Full Day and 8:30 am-1:00 pm for Half Day. For an additional fee parents can drop campers off as early as 7:00 am and pick up as late as 6:00 pm. Early care may be added for a charge of $25 per week per child. Late care may be added for a charge of $20 per week per child. If early and late care is needed (Camp Plus), both may be added for $35 per week per child. Parents late picking up campers will be charged $10 per child for each additional 15 minutes after 6:00pm.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellation requests must be made in writing 30 days prior to your camper’s scheduled camp date. If a cancellation is requested after the 30 day deadline, a physician’s office receipt and note must be submitted indicating the child is unable to attend, or there must have been a death in the immediate family. The deadline for a cancellation of this nature is noon on the Friday prior to the start date of camp. A $50 fee per week per child applies to all cancellations.

CHANGE REQUESTS: All changes must be requested in writing (via letter or email only) 2 weeks prior to the start date of camp. This includes changes of specialty for D1, D2, and O-Zone or change of dates attending. All changes requested prior to April 1, 2012 will be made depending on availability at no charge. All changes requested after April 1 will be made if available for a charge of $50.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Financial assistance is available for families who cannot afford camp on their own. Applications for financial assistance are available in the ROAR office.

SCHOLARSHIP DONATIONS: Many families are seeking financial assistance to send their child to camp. The children of these families will be able to experience ROAR Sport Camps because of contributions made throughout the year by individual families like you. If you feel led to give, please indicate the amount when registering. Any amount is appreciated. A gift of $219 will provide one full week of camp plus early and late care for one child this summer. All gifts are tax deductible.

SPECIAL NEEDS: Although ROAR Sport Camps desires to accommodate all children, we, unfortunately, are not able to accommodate children with special needs who are unable to function within our camp structure. Please call with any questions.

In-Camp Transportation: ROAR Sport Camps will be between Westminster Church and Westminster Park so we will provide bus transportation for full day campers.
