ROAR Soccer Club

ROAR offers both Fall & Spring Soccer through ROAR Soccer Club each year! Our goal is to create a place where families can come and fellowship while playing the game at our beautiful 320 acre Westminster Park on India Hook Road! We want each kid to feel special regardless of their skill set.

Little Kickers (4/5 year olds)
Series A Leagues (1st and 2nd Grades)
Includes: 8 Games**, weekly practices, soccer uniform* (jersey only), end of season trophies, and registration fees

Premier League (3rd-6th Grades) Boys and Girls Separated
Includes: 8 Games**, weekly practices, soccer uniform* (jersey only), medals for 1st and 2nd place team in tournament, referee’s, and registration fees

ROAR Youth Development Program (YDP) with Discoveries Soccer Club (7-12 year olds) – Click HERE for more information

*ROAR will not be providing shorts or socks for soccer. We ask that all players wear black shorts for games. We do sell shorts for $5 and socks for $2 at the concession stand.

Sign-Up for Spring Soccer will begin June 7 at 8am


Important Information (Spring 2017):

Location: All games and practices are played at Westminster Park (click here for directions)


Please note when signing up that requests or preferences indicated (such as nights of practice, friend requests, carpooling, etc.) cannot be guaranteed. We will do our best to meet these but cannot guarantee they will happen.  Registration closes when each Division is full. You will automatically be placed on a waiting list and receive an email if you are placed on a team.

Tentative Practice Schedule: (Schedule could change at anytime without notice)
Practices will take place either on a Monday or Tuesday Night. (Thursday Nights are Make Up nights if rain occurs).

5:45pm- Scheduled Practice Time (Little Kickers/Premier)
6:45pm- Scheduled Practice Time (Series A/Premier)

Registration (Players, Sponsors and Coaches): Wednesday, January 4th

Mandatory Skills Assessment: Monday, July 31, 2017. Skills assessment is located at Westminster Park on Soccer Fields. (Raindate:  Tuesday, August 1)

Why Skills Assessment? The reason for Skill Assessment is to make sure that all teams are fair across the board for all our leagues. It is very important for ALL players to be there because this will help our coaches and ROAR to make the best assessments possible.

Series A- 1st Graders: 6:00pm (5:45pm Registration and Warm Up) — Upper Field
Series A- 2nd Graders: 6:45pm (6:30pm Registration and Warm Up) — Upper Field

Premier – Girls: 6:00pm (5:45pm Registration and Warm Up) — Lower Field
Premier – Boys: 6:45pm (6:30pm Registration and Warm Up) — Lower Field

** Note:  If delayed by weather, a make up date will be set for Tuesday, August 1, 2017

Practices begin:  August 21 & 22, 2017 (Monday and Tuesday Nights)

**We will try to do our best to put Little Kickers starting at 5:45pm and Series A starting at 6:45pm; Premier starting at 5:45 or 6:45pm

Parent Meeting: First Practice (All parents must be present)

Games begin: Saturday, September 9, 2017

Uniforms: All players will receive a ROAR Jersey. The jerseys will be distributed at the practice the week before the first games. NOTE: Shorts and socks will not be included in the package but we ask that all players wear black shorts on game days!

Tentative Game Days and Times: 6-7 Soccer Games will be played on Saturday Mornings at Westminster  Park and 1-2 during the weekday practice time.

Little Kicker Games will be played at 8:30am (times could change without warning)
Premier Game #1 will be played at 9:30am (times could change without warning)
Series A Games will be 11:00am (times could change without warning)
Premier Game #2 will be played at 10:45am (times could change without warning)

PREMIER LEAGUE Soccer Tournament:
There will be a double elimination tournament for Game 7 and 8. Below is the tentative schedule:

Saturday October 14 and/or Monday October 16
5:30pm- Seed #1 vs. Seed #4 Game (Boys and Girls)
6:45pm- Seed #2 vs. Seed #3 Game (Boys and Girls)

Saturday October 21
9:00am- Girls and Boys Third Place Game
10:15pm- Girls and Boys Championship Game

For 3rd graders and up, ROAR will not be giving out participation trophies but will give out Character Awards for all players. During the season, we will ask all coaches to watch each player for how they have played on and off the field. The two teams in the final will receive a medal.

Concession Stand: 
Don’t have time to pick up dinner or water for practice? Well do not worry about that, we have you covered! At each of our practice we will have our concession stand open to families to buy pizza slices from Papa Johns, Drinks, Snacks, and Candy!

Love eating hamburger and hotdogs on game day? Well we will have that for you too! At all Saturday games, we will have hamburgers, hotdogs, Powerades, bottle water, snacks, candy, coffee, and more!

Night Games: Night Games will be played during practice and practice will be cancelled those nights.

End of Season Bash: Coaches will pick up their trophies at the Concession Stand. Teams can choose to stay at the park and distribute trophies or meet together at another time and place!

Coaches Appreciation Day: Join ROAR on Coaches Appreciation Day to help us show our appreciation to our coaches. We will love for you to give an extra high five, hug, or even card for their hard work during the year!
