What is YDP?

The Discoveries Youth Development Program (YDP) is the perfect opportunity for Roar players to improve their skills. YDP provides the environment for players to develop their social, technical , physical and mental skills. Emphasis is placed on development as opposed to winning with a heavy focus on technical elements during practices. It is ensured that programs are organized and professional. This applies to both the sessions & games dates. This is the perfect platform for players looking to play for fun, travel and high school soccer in the future. This program caters for all abilities to the beginner to the intermediate player.

Coaching Expertise:

The YDP program is coached by experienced and qualified DSC staff at additional locations including – Rock Hill , Fort Mill , Indian Land , Tega Cay , Lake Wylie & Baxter.

Why sign-up for YDP (Players aged 7-11):

The YDP offers players the chance to bridge the gap between recreational soccer and select/travel soccer. By participating in this program players will become well rounded technical players who have a strong understanding of the game of soccer. This program will be run very similar to our ROAR leagues, the bonus is the opportunity to play against other programs, get a feel for what travel soccer looks like, and to have the opportunity to live out their faith on the field. These teams will still participate in a devotional at each practice.
